GelTech Solutions (OTC: GLTC) develops and markets environmentally friendly products primarily for the absorbent, agriculture, dust control, and firefighting industries. GelTech Solutions was founded in 2006 by Peter Cordani with his brother Michael Cordani. GelTech Solutions is headquartered in Jupiter, Florida. Peter Cordani created FireIce in Florida in 2006 while experimenting with different gels to protect homes against hurricanes. He found that when he stuck a Popsicle stick in the gel and tried to light it on fire, nothing caught. FireIce can put out fires as hot as 20,000 degrees Fahrenheit and is environmentally friendly, as Cordani says it “tastes like applesauce.” GelTech Solutions brought FireIce to market in 2008.
